The DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve, Control) model is the core tool of the Six Sigma methodology. All the DMAIC steps are required and are always carried out in the given order. This page covers the Measure phase.

The Measure phase is the second stage of the DMAIC model. The objective of the Measure phase is to establish a current performance baseline as a basis for improvement.
Good data is at the heart of the DMAIC process and the key focus of the Measure phase is data collection.
